After Pompeii it will be the turn to make an excursion to the top of the most famous volcano in the world: Vesuvius. The visit to the crater is among the most requested excursions by tourists. The route to be covered has a total length of about 4 km round trip, with a drop of about 140 meters and an average gradient of 14% up to the maximum altitude of 1,170 meters above sea level.
We will take you to the office ticket office at 1,050 meters above sea level, from here begins a narrow path from which you can already admire the majesty of Vesuvius. Through a broom path you reach a small climb dotted with maritime pines and birches and then you reach the edge of the crater where you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the Gulf of Naples.
Inside the archaeological sites we advise you to be accompanied by an authorized tourist guide.
